Presenter and Workshop Manager Biographies

	Lorna Baldrick Experience: Lorna is currently working as Clinicial Nurse Manager 2, Urodynamics/Urogynae since project managing the unit in 2005. Previously, she worked in the Day Services Unit and urology theatres. She is a member of The Saolta Urology Nurses Network and is a subcommittee member actively involved in patient information leaflets and procedural guidelines. Locally, she is involved with her hospital practice development and integrated community continence service in urinary catheter related practice, education, and documentation. Qualifications: RGN Diploma in Communication in the Healthcare Setting Diplomas in Microbiology, Continence Promotion, Teaching, and Assessing Certificates in Urodynamics, Bristol, U.K. Completed the ESUN course in neurogenic bladder, Rome, Italy

	Lynn Casey Experience: Lynn Casey began her career in surgical nursing. She progressed to Clinical Nurse Manager of a busy surgical unit in St. James' Hospital, Dublin, Ireland. For the past 10 years she has been Clinical Nurse Specialist in Urology. She runs a number of nurse-led clinics including a "one stop" haematuria clinic, an erectile dysfunction clinic, and a renal stone clinic. She manages both benign and oncological Urology. She has a particular interest in developing and promoting education for Urology Nurses and is currently the chair of the Irish Association of Urology Nurses. 	Hanny Cobussen-Boekhorst Experience: Hanny Cobussen-Boekhorst qualified as a State Registered Nurse in 1983 and commenced her career on the Surgical and Urological Ward at the General Hospital in Oss, Netherlands. In 1992, she took up the post of Continence and Urostoma Nurse at the Urological Outpatient Clinic at the Department of Urology, University Medical Center, St. Radboud, Nijmegen, where she is still employed today. In 2006, she was promoted to Nurse Practitioner responsible for continence and urostomy management by facilitating nurse-led clinics for adults and paediatrics. Hanny has won many awards throughout her nursing career, one being "Continence Nurse of the Year" in the Netherlands in 2006. She has been an active member of many groups developing local and national guidelines, patient booklets, clinical education, and co-authored evidenced-based guidelines when a board member of the European Association of Urology Nurses (EAUN). She has also participated at the board level in many national and international societies and associations. Hanny has paticipated in many research studies and has successfully published her work on many occasions. In 2016, she underwent the defence thesis: Effectiveness of Urotherapy and Specific Interventions. Qualifications: Registered Nurse Master Advanced Nursing Practice (MANP) PhD

	Sanae Floyd Experience: Sanae Floyd is a certified coach, trainer and speaker in the field of personal development and The Success Principles™. She started her coaching business in 2014, after a 16-year career in corporate management and sales. Her business is dedicated to empowering other women in business and supporting them to overcome challenges and achieve breakthrough results in their lives and business, as she has done for herself. Sanae's No. 1 mission is to raise awareness of the transformational power of effective communication on everything we do.

	Tracy Harrison Experience: Since qualifying as a Registered Nurse, Tracy Harrison has worked for the past 12 years in the Urological field of Nursing with the University Hospitals of North Midlands, based at the Royal Stoke University Hospital. Since 2005, she has worked on a Urology ward dealing with patients pre- and post-operatively. She is registered as a Mentor for student nurses and as a Cascade Trainer. She has also held senior staff roles within the department. Currently, she is the Junior Sister in a pilot scheme which has been recently set up for an interim period of 6 months based within the ward environment. 	Cindy Kenis Experience: Cindy Kenis (PhD, MScN, RN) works as a geriatric oncology nurse at the University Hospitals Leuven, Belgium. She coordinated large multi-centric studies (2009-2011: 10 Belgian hospitals; 2012-2015: 22 Belgian hospitals) focusing on the implementation of a systematic geriatric screening and assessment within the Belgian older population with cancer. Her daily clinical practice and research is fully related to this topic. During the past years, she has given several national and international lectures according to this topic. She’s also frequently asked to give educational sessions in different kinds of settings: medical students, nursing students, and other health care professionals. She has published in a number of well-known peer reviewed journals and has contributed to book chapters in the field of geriatric oncology. In 2016 she was elected chair of the Nursing & Allied Health Interest Group of the International Society of Geriatric Oncology (SIOG). She is also one of the board members of this society. 	Henk-Jan Mulder Experience: Henk-Jan Mulder started his general nursing training in 1985, and has worked at the Urology Department in Martini General Hospital, Groningen, Netherlands since 1990. In the period between1985 and 1995, he completed several courses: urology, oncology, and incontinence. Presently, his main work consists of: triaging new urological patients suffering from lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) and incontinence, developing treatment plans, undertaking urodynamics, and teaching intermittent catheterisation. In 2013, he became the lead researcher on a multicentre research study on urinary tract infection (UTI) in patients practicing intermittent catheterisation. The study is ongoing. 	Angela Rantell Experience: Angie Rantell gained a BSc (Hons) in nursing studies from King’s College London in 2003. She started working in the field of women’s health first as a staff nurse and then as a sister on a gynaecology, breast care and early pregnancy ward. Since 2007, she has been working in the Urogynaecology Department at King’s College Hospital and is currently the lead nurse/nurse cystoscopist. She is actively involved in research and regularly writes for journals and textbooks. She is working towards a PhD investigating sexual function in women with Overactive Bladder. 	Nadine Reithmeyer Experience: Nadine Reithmeyer started to work as a nurse in 2002. She collected experience for a couple of years in geriatric, ER, pulmonary oncology, and neurological rehabilitation. She currently works on a haematology intermediate care unit. She was developed further as a pain nurse, palliative nurse and mentor. Nadine has worked for four years as a Case Manager/Home Care Manager in a hospital and advises patients, family, and even medical personnel on a number of health-related topics. She has developed a nurse-led continence clinic specialising in assessment and management of urological dysfunction, and also provides individualised training programmes. 	Samantha Smith Experience: Samantha Smith graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a BSc in Occupational Therapy (OT) in 1996 and gained her MSc in Neuromusculoskeletal Healthcare from Keele University in 2005. In 2003, she became Clinical Specialist OT in Neurological Rehabilitation, based at the North Staffordshire Rehabilitation Centre, leading OT services for patients with complex neurological disorders and specialist rehabilitation needs. Here, she developed her knowledge and experience of multi-professional working, taking a keen interest in neurological splinting and casting for the management of spasticity. In September 2012, Sam was appointed to the post of Senior Trauma Rehabilitation Coordinator at the University Hospital of North Midlands, completing specialist health assessments and working alongside health and social care professionals, both locally and nationally to develop patient-centred rehabilitation prescriptions. The post has enabled rehabilitation medicine’s profile to be raised within the acute trust, especially within the specialities of critical care, trauma orthopaedics, and spinal surgery She now splits her time between Major Trauma and working as an Advanced Practitioner with the Spinal team at The Royal Stoke University Hospital. 	Monica Taylor Experience: Monica Taylor has worked as a Registered Nurse within the Urology ward environment at University Hospital of North Midlands in the UK since 1997. During her time within the department she has had the opportunity to gain knowledge of complex urological conditions. Since 2012, she has worked within the Intravesical/Cytotoxic ward based clinic. Within this group of patients, she has been able to develop skills which have enabled a small group of patients to empower their treatment and support them within their urological care. Monica is a registered Mentor, and actively encourages all staff and student nurses to attend education sessions that the department provides to enrich their knowledge. Since June 2017, she has been the Senior Nurse within the department, developing an aspiring team to provide a gold standard for patient care and patient experience. Qualifications: Registered Nurse

	Corinne Nathalie Tillier Experience: Corinne Tillier is French, qualified as a State Registered Nurse in 1992, and commenced her career at the Cancer Institute of Bordeaux. In 2000, she moved to the Netherlands and began her work on oncology wards. She went on to work as a research nurse and was involved in several studies on uro-oncology (prostate carcinoma and renal cell carcinoma). In 2010, she moved to the Netherlands Cancer Institute (where she still works) and specialised in localised prostate cancer, localised renal cell carcinoma, and penile cancer. Apart from her function at the Cancer Institute, she was an active member of the committee that developed Dutch guidelines for renal cell carcinoma and prostate carcinoma. She is a member of the French Association of the Oncology Nurse (AFIC), and every trimester she writes a column on published results of nurse studies in the magazine BIC. In March 2015, Corinne became a Board Member of the European Association of Urology Nurses (EAUN). In 2016, she became the Chair of the EAUN Scientific Congress Office (SCO). She is also the Chair of the updated EAUN Guidelines TRUS (trans-rectal ultra sound) biopsies, expected to be published in 2018. 	Dr. Michael van Balken Experience: Michael van Balken earned his MD from the Catholic University of Nijmegen, The Netherlands, and received his urological training at the Radboud University Medical Center in Nijmegen as well as at the Policlinico G.B. Rossi, Verona, Italy. In 2007, he completed his PhD thesis at the Free University Amsterdam on the subject, “Percutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation in Lower Urinary Tract Disorders.” He is now a staff urologist in the Department of Urology at the Rijnstate Hospital in Arnhem, The Netherlands. His main fields of interest are urinary incontinence, reconstructive urology, and the use of social media in healthcare. In 2014, Michael became Program Director (“opleider”) Urology, responsible for the training of urological residents in Arnhem. Michael is the (co-)author of over 20 peer-reviewed publications, five books, and nearly 50 abstracts. He is a member of the EAU Section of Female and Functional Urology, a board member of the Dutch Steering Committee on Urinary Incontinence, and Medical Advisor to several pharmaceutical companies and guideline committees regarding the subject. He became TOPuroloog 2013 (best urologist), according to his peers. Michael is a strong believer in “compassion for care” and shared decision-making (“participatory healthcare”). He also is strongly engaged in human rights issues like non-medical circumcision in children and (the violation of) medical neutrality. He uses blogs and social media to draw attention to these subjects. Since 2015 the main focus of his interest is on adapting medical information to the standards of (health) illiterate (urological) patients. For this he started the “Aap-Noot-Nier” project (Dutch) and the “Easy-Peesy”project (International). 	Eva Wallace Experience: Eva Wallace worked at the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH) Dún Laoghaire, Dublin for over 33 years, and has extensive experience in the speciality of urological care of spinal cord injury (SCI) individuals. At present, she is assisting in the nursing education department with an aim to increase nurse’s knowledge and skills in evidence-based continence promotion and management. This includes all NRH staff and those in the community setting throughout Ireland. All courses are accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Board Ireland (NMBI). Eva also recently developed an animation video to assist training for neurogenic bowel management in SCI individuals. 	Kay Willard Experience: Kay has fulfilled several senior nurse leadership roles within the front line of the acute hospital setting for over 30 years. The longevity of her service has afforded her the opportunity to gather unique insight into the complex navigation a patient’s journey takes when requiring acute urological hospital care and ongoing needs. Her principle philosophy has always embraced patient empowerment as a fundamental component of any new and innovative innovation. She remains responsible for sustaining a leadership style that encourages and empowers, whilst naturally reflecting on outcomes. With this rich anecdotal library of knowledge, Kay has recently designed a new and innovative way of working, whereupon a nurse-led ambulatory service sits as an adjunct to the urological inpatient stay. The primary aim of this service is to utilise timely nursing knowledge and skill to impact patient outcomes, thereby improving patient flow, reducing acute hospital length of stay and, ultimately, improving patient experience. She is at present working as a Urology Advanced Nurse Practitioner and Operational Nursing Lead for inpatient and benign services. She works at the Royal Stoke University Hospital which is a teaching and research hospital in the English county of Staffordshire. 	Sarah Wilson Experience: Sarah Wilson works on an Outpatient Urology Department at Wansbeck General Hospital, which is part of Northumbria NHS Foundation Trust, England. From 2000 to 2012, she was a Staff Nurse on a surgical ward specialising in Urology, Breast and Upper GI. From 2012 to present, she has been a Staff Nurse on the Urology Department.
